I know, it sucks to grow up, doesn't it?
All those social pressures and figuring out who you are... and then Nature has to go and slap you with pimples. Unfair.
But there are some ways to get around this.
Acne is caused by clogged pores, I'm sure you've heard that. The part you should keep in mind however, is how they get clogged. Things like sugars, oils, and grease in your diet contribute an extra amount of toxic build-up in the blood stream that the body has a difficult time processing it. With more of this than usual coming through your pores-- which are a natural port for body detoxing-- coupled with intense hormonal changes in the teenage years create a perfect storm for acne formation.
To fight it, stay cleansed. Eliminate those toxins from your diet as much as possible-- soda, candy, fried food, oils, etc. And keep your pores clean by facial scrub and sweating. Yes, sweating is a natural cleaner for the pores and it doesn't hurt with overall health. All of these can give you a total cleanse and fight off that awful acne.
